• Back to jazz Guitar

While imagining this design of this  jazz guitar, I sought not to create merely an enigmatic copy of the celebrated American models, but to create an instrument unique in having what I feel are carefully considered, proper specifications.

I wanted a guitar that could be played both acoustically as well as amplified. To achieve this I refined the soundboard, allowing it to vibrate and gently augmented its arch for mechanical resistance reasons. I drastically reduced the size of the sound holes which often weaken the «arch top » sounboard and require a thickness and rigidity that inhibits all vibration. The body is smaller. After a number of experiments, I decided to retain the Bartolini pickup which gives a very precise, round jazz sound without losing the sound of the wood. I know that many musicians have there own personal preferences and I can replace the electronics with any other make of choice by request. Finally, the bridge is made of bound rosewood and there is no height adjustment vice which often obstructs the acoustic qualities by deadening the strings. The height adjustment is set at the workshop according to the client’s wishes and can be modified slightly with the saddle.

I conceived this jazz guitar for those desiring an instrument which is different yet full of possibilities.
